Christian Formation for Children & Youth

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a mainstay at All Saints’ for children 3 years old to those in the sixth grade. CGS is a Montessori approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in the Bible and the liturgy of the church. It also adheres to the educational principals of Maria Montessori, whose philosophy was to teach children with an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s intrinsic desire to learn. Each atrium is led by an adult catechist with a minimum of 90 hours of training. We follow the normal school year calendar.

Currently, CGS is meeting in a limited capacity with materials for the children to work with being sent to their homes. For more information, please call the church office at 662-842-4386.

Christian Formation for Youth:

7th – 12th Grades

Living in Christ offers topical, yet Bible-based lessons based on current events and other trending subjects that have an immediate relevancy to youth. What better way to capture the attention of a young person than to discuss things that are important to them, to talk about what they are talking about. This class follows the normal school schedule. Currently, this class is meeting virtually. For more information, please call the church office at 662-842-4386.

Youth Confirmation:

For those wishing to be confirmed, those wishing to reaffirm their faith, as well as other inquiring minds! Learn about the Episcopal Church, our Anglican history, traditions and our rich liturgy and music. These classes are required for confirmation in the Episcopal Church. For those completing the classes, confirmations are done during the Bishop’s annual visitation (usually in the fall of the year).
